In the previous meeting, we learned about animal. You all did a great job with the practice.

Pada kesempatan kali ini Ms Fitri akan membaha materi animals. Animal dalam bahasa indonesia berarti binatang. Kita pasti sering menjumpai binatang di sekitar kita, seperti kucing, anjing, sapi, bahkan mungkin ular dan laba-laba. Sama seperti dalam bahasa indonesia, dalam bahasa inggris ada dua jenis binatang/animal yaitu binatang jinak (tame animals) dan binatang liar (wild animals).

1. Tame Animals (binatang jinak)

Tame animals adalah binatang yang tidak berbahaya dan tidak menakutkan. Binatang jinak ini juga biasanya bisa dipelihara oleh manusia dan patuh terhadap perintah majikannya. Berikut ini adalah jenis-jenis binatang jinak dalam bahasa inggris:

·                     camel = unta

·                     canary = burung kenari

·                     cat = kucing

·                     cattle = sapi perah

·                     chicken = ayam

·                     cow = sapi

·                     dog = anjing

·                     donkey = keledai

·                     dove = burung merpati

·                     duck = bebek

2. Wild Animals

Wild animals dalam bahasa indonesia berarti binatang liar. binatang liar tidak dibiasakan hidup berdampingan dengan manusia karena kadang mereka terlalu berbahaya untuk dipelihara. binatang liar biasanya hidup di hutan, gunung, laut, rawa, padang rumput, dan lain-lain. Berikut ini adalah jenis-jenis binatang liar dalam bahasa inggris.

·                     ape = kera

·                     bear = beruang

·                     bison = bison

·                     cheetah = cheetah

·                     crocodile = buaya

·                     deer = rusa

·                     elephant = gajah

·                     flamingo = burung flamingo

Hello! I’m Nadhira

Do you like animals? I love them!

I often go to the zoo to see wild 

animals and I have got a pet

at home. It’s a hamster, he is 

male and his name is Peter. He is 

a half years old. He’s small 

and his hair is light brown. He’s got big eyes and a small black nose. His nose 

always moves as he sniffs and it is very funny. He’s got big ears, long teeth 

and long moustache. His legs are very short and he’s got a short tail, too. His 

body is long and he’s a little bit fat. He likes eating. He eats seeds but his 

favourites are nuts. I buy his food at the pet shop. He lives in a cage and he’s 

got a lot of toys. He likes his wheel best, he runs around it. At night he’s in 

the hall because hamsters are nocturnal and Peter is very noisy.

I feed him every day and put clean water in his water bowl. On Saturday 

afternoons I clean his cage and put fresh rasping into it.

I love him and I think he is one of my best friends.

Dari 23 peserta didik semua sudah mampu mengerjakan soal animal dengan baik dan benar hanya saja ada 2 peserta didik yang kurang dalam mengartikan kosakata.
